Participants start at a stopped position via horseback.  Once signaled they enter through the timing light and head towards the hanging tire.  Once there they drop off the rider without touching the ground to grab on to the tire and hang there.  While rider is hanging driver on horseback will run around a tire and come back to pick up rider.  Rider must then get back on horseback once again without touching the ground.  Then continue back through timing lights.
