To participate you must fulfill all the following: Failure to complete any of the requirements will disqualify you from the competition!


  1. Be properly dressed in 4-H or FFA approved attire.

  2. Present your own animal to be ultrasounded that will sell in the Auction.

  3. Fill out and turn in a short questionnaire.


The winners of the Carcass contest will be presented before the livestock sale and will be given a belt buckle. The Grand and Reserve carcass contest winners will sell in the order that their animal would fall into the sale order. They will be mentioned during the sale and indicated in the sale brochure.


DATE:  Friday, August 2, 2019 5:00 pm

  1. There will be a brief introduction on how to judge animals and then the judging contest will take place. Livestock judging rules will apply and the following classes of animals will be judged. Sheep, Hogs, and Steers.

2. There will be four classes in the contest:

  • Beginner

  • Intermediate

  • Senior

  • Open

3. There will be cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

4. The decision of the livestock committee will be final, and the winners will be announced in a timely manner and will be posted at the livestock pavilion.

Team Fitting Contest

 August 1, 2019 @ 2:00 p.m.


     Contest Rules

  1. Teams can consist of 3-4 current 4-H or FFA kids enrolled in the beef division.

  2. Each team must have at least one junior member on it.    

  3. All team members must participate. It will be judged on teamwork and how the animal is fit.

  4. Adults cannot give advice during competition. 

  5. Cattle must be washed and blown out with NO adhesive or show products in them.

  6. Teams will have 30 minutes to fit their animal.

  7. Teams of 4 cannot have more than 2  senior showman, or more that 1 senior showman on a team of 3.

  8. You will need to bring all chutes, show supplies, and equipment to the designated contest area by 1:45 p.m.

  9.  It will be judged and the winners will receive a prize.
